SpendCare wins $25,000 grand prize in the AgeInnovate Pitch Competition
The start-up seeks to ensure seniors can afford to buy the right thing at the right time with help from their family and their care team.
SpendCare, led by Chief Executive Officer Perry Halman-Peguillan and an alum of the Nashville Entrepreneur Center’s Project FinTech, took home the $25,000 grand prize at the 2025 AgeInnovate Pitch Competition, highlighting the company’s work to make aging at home safer and more affordable.
In a social media post after winning the competition, SpendCare wrote: “We are so excited to be the winner of this year’s AgeInnovate Pitch Competition! We could not be more grateful to Amy LaGrant, Caroline McGowan, and the AgeInnovate team for organizing an amazing event. It was an honor to share the stage with Hypersence, CareHome Health, and TheraVista Health.
