Generative AI is all the rage, but synthetic data is coming on strong

In a recent brief, PitchBook writes that "synthetic data, computer-generated outputs that supplement real-world observations, is gaining more attention as artificial intelligence and machine learning rapidly advance."

Last Friday’s feature article in teknovation.biz spotlighted a new start-up named Writerly that uses generative artificial intelligence (AI) to create new content in the form of images, text, and audio.

In a recent Emerging Space Brief, PitchBook writes that “generative AI is seemingly all the rage these days, but there’s a field of computer-generated data that’s hitting a new stride. Synthetic data, computer-generated outputs that supplement real-world observations, is gaining more attention as artificial intelligence and machine learning rapidly advance.”

According to PitchBook’s estimates, synthetic data is on track to hit $1 billion in market size within the next four years. The brief can be downloaded at this link.
