NC-based start-up uses novel idea, crowdfunding to expand

You can raise capital quickly through crowdfunding with a novel and compelling idea.

Raleigh, NC-based Offline, which offers a a restaurant subscription service designed to link eateries with people looking for new places to dine, launched a Wefunder campaign with a goal of $2 million last Wednesday and had already raised $1.4 million within 24 hours. When we last checked yesterday afternoon, the start-up had raised almost $1.9 million.

According to this article in WRAL TechWire, the new capital will be used to expand to additional markets beyond its first two: Raleigh and Durham, where it launched last year, and Charlotte to which it expanded earlier this year.
