UTRF releases annual report for FY20
The University of Tennessee (UT) Research Foundation has released its annual report for FY20.
Titled Discover 2020, the document (click here): (1) spotlights the institution’s COVID-19 innovators; (2) cites start-ups launched around UT technology; (3) highlights a number of inventors; and (4) presents numerical accomplishments for FY20 and the five-year period ending June 30, 2020. Here are some of the numerical highlights:
- 201 invention disclosures in FY20 and a total of 860 since FY16.
- 42 licenses executed in FY20, nearly one-third of the 134 licenses and options executed during the five-year period.
- 17 licenses executed with start-ups in from FY16 on.
- 477 patents filed in the past five years including 111 in FY20 with 141 patents issued during the five-year period.
