First Flight Venture Center’s Hangar6 is described as a “unique Research Triangle Park prototyping facility.” In fact, the facility was launched in 2016 with funding from the U.S. Economic Development Administration. Recently, Hangar6 secured another $2.6 million from the federal agency to further expand its efforts.
