Greater Colorado Venture Fund good example of a focused rural initiative
Here’s a great example of the old adage about “putting your money where your mouth is,” in this case through a concentrated focus on rural economic development, albeit nowhere near Tennessee.
The $17.5 million Greater Colorado Venture Fund is focused on rural start-ups in Colorado, and it had planned for its “Greater Colorado Pitch Series” to be the grand finale of the second annual “West Slope Startup Week.” When the event moved into a virtual program spread across July with remote gatherings and seminars, the fund tweaked its plan and moved the pitch process online.
On July 30, some start-up in the region will win $275,000. Learn more about the initiative here.
