SBA launches more user friendly website on SBIR and STTR programs

SSTI reports that the U.S. Small Business Administration has rolled out a new website for the Small Business Innovation Research (SBIR) and Small Business Technology Transfer (STTR) programs that the federal agency administers.

With the Volunteer State’s emphasis on getting more awards under these two efforts, the update can only be good news for companies submitting applications.

As described in this article in the latest issue of the SSTI Weekly Digest, the modifications include new landing pages for entrepreneurs, support organizations, and federal agencies that should provide quicker and easier access to the right information.

  • For entrepreneurs interested in the SBIR/STTR programs, SSTI says the new landing page provides information on how to confirm eligibility, register and edit company information, and apply for funding. There are also links for video tutorials, contacts for local assistance, a schedule of events, and several success stories.
  • Support organizations will find it easier to learn about local awardees as well as find information on training activities and also submit their own events. The landing page also provides links to the Federal and State Technology (FAST) Partnership Program and the Growth Accelerator Fund Competition (GAFC)
  • The new landing page for federal agencies now provides swifter access to information on how to procure technologies, share success stories, and access additional agency and program data.
