BARDA adds five new accelerators to its biodefense-focused initiative
The Coulter Translational Program in Atlanta, a joint effort of Emory University and Georgia Institute of Technology, is one five new accelerators that have been added to federal Biomedical Advanced Research and Development Authority (BARDA) network in the last year.
The other new entrants are a program at Purdue University, University of Missouri’s Midwest BioAccelerator, the Plug and Play Tech Center in San Francisco, and University Enterprise Labs in St. Paul-Minneapolis. The goal of the accelerators is to help speed development of medical products for biodefense and other security needs.
