Pellissippi State Community College Presidential Search Forum

Pellissippi State Community College invites students, employees and community members to help shape the search for its next president through a public forum set for next week at the college’s Hardin Valley campus.
The next president will succeed L. Anthony Wise Jr., who plans to retire in May 2027 after 30 years of service to the state of Tennessee, including 16 years as Pellissippi State’s president.
The Tennessee Board of Regents and Greenwood Asher & Associates, the executive search firm assisting with the search, are seeking perspectives on the college’s needs, opportunities and future leadership.
The public forum will take place Tuesday, Nov. 3, from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. in the Clayton Performing Arts Center at the Hardin Valley Campus, 10915 Hardin Valley Road in Knoxville. Hosted by Greenwood Asher & Associates, the forum will provide an overview of the search process and an opportunity for participants to share their aspirations for the college and the qualities they would like to see in its next president.
Participants may attend in person or join the forum via Zoom using meeting ID 860 5237 5825. Anyone needing assistance may contact Mary Ann Hammonds, executive assistant to the TBR chancellor, at maryann.hammonds@tbr.edu or 615-366-4403.
A search advisory committee representing the Board of Regents, faculty, staff, students, alumni, and community business and civic leaders will lead the search, review applicants and recommend finalists.
Finalists will be announced and introduced during campus interviews in spring 2027. TBR Chancellor Flora W. Tydings will conduct final interviews and review feedback from the campus community and the public before recommending a candidate to the Board of Regents, which will appoint the next president.
Presidential criteria, application instructions and additional information will be posted on the TBR President and Executive Searches webpage, which will be updated as the search progresses.
