490 BioTech finalist in ‘BUZZ of BIO’ competition, voting opens today

Here’s some good news from 490 BioTech, one of Knoxville’s start-ups that we have followed over the past several years on teknovation.biz.

“I’m excited to announce that 490 was just announced as one of the 20 finalists in the ‘‘BUZZ of BIO competition’ for this year’s BIO International convention,” Dan Close wrote in an email yesterday. “We are competing in the ‘Technologies of Tomorrow’ category. To the best of my knowledge, this is the first time that a Tennessee company has ever made it to this stage of the competition on BIO’s international scale!”

The winner will be selected by popular vote with voting opening today at 9 a.m. EDT and will close at 5 p.m. EDT on Thursday (March 21). Close said the voting is simple:
