Washington program aiding life science start-ups faces bleak future
A State of Washington-funded program aimed at growing the life science sector hit a major bump in the just concluded legislative session. The Life Sciences Discovery Fund has provided 112 grants worth $106 million since its inception in 2007. Those awards have helped 40 start-ups, supporting more than 3,500 jobs in the state, and brought an additional $550 million in private funding. Read what happened here.
