UTRF accepting applications for six-week guided program

UTRF NewStacey Patterson, Vice President of the University of Tennessee Research Foundation (UTRF), announced at the conclusion of yesterday’s “Opportunity Now” event an upcoming initiative to help interested entrepreneurs further advance their ideas.

“We’re going to offer individuals or teams a six-week guided program,” she said. The opportunity is for those who participated in the June 2 event as well as anyone else. There is a caveat.

“You will need to submit an Invention Disclosure Form to UTRF,” Patterson explained. Applications will be accepted until June 30, and the selected individuals or teams will be announced in mid-July.

UTRF will partner with Tech 2020 on the six-week, intensive program. Between six and 10 individuals or teams will be selected. There will be a pitch competition at the end with the teams vying for up to $20,000 in cash or services to further advance their ideas.
