USDA Secretary announces fourth RBIC since 2014
Agriculture Secretary Tom Vilsack announced last week the creation of the fourth Rural Business Investment Company (RBIC) since 2014. The new fund, known as the Open Prairie Rural Opportunities Fund, joins two with Tennessee ties – Innova and Meritus Kirchner Capital – that were announced last year. All are part of USDA’s ongoing efforts to help attract private sector capital to investment opportunities in rural America.
