Bill Wiley of the University of Tennessee’s Center for Industrial Services has provided several items related to upcoming Small Business Innovation Research (SBIR) and Small Business Technology Transfer (STTR) solicitations.

Department of Defense (DoD) –

DoD has solicitations in both programs that are “open” effective August 27. More information can be found at http://www.dodsbir.net/solicitation/.

DoD is also the focus of a “Beyond Phase II Conference” September 10 – 13, at the JW Marriott in Indianapolis.  The Conference registration fee is $475.00 and includes conference materials, three continental breakfasts, three lunches, and the Welcome Reception.  There are also exhibits available. Small Business Administration (SBA) –

SBA is holding webinars on proposed changes in its SBIR and STTR programs. The dates and deadlines are:

  • August 23, 2012 (you must register by August 22, 2012)
  • August 29, 2012 (you must register by August 28, 2012)

Pre-registration is required with a maximum participation is 125 per session. To pre-regfister, send an e-mail to technology@sba.gov and include in the subject line, the date of the Webinar you want. In the body of the email, you must include the Participant’s Name, Title, Organization Affiliation, Address, Telephone Number, Email Address, and Fax Number.
