Next “Sky City Initiative” meetup features Co-Founder and CEO of Cirrus Aircraft

The team behind the “Sky City Initiative” in Blount County has announced details for its next meetup set for August 14.

Dale Klapmeier, Co-Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Cirrus Aircraft, will be the featured speaker at the event. More than three years ago, the Minnesota-based company announced plans to establish its Customer Experience Center, better known as the “Vision Center,” at McGhee Tyson Airport. More developments have followed.

Klapmeier will share his entrepreneurial journey during the two-hour meetup that begins at 7 p.m. at The Old Queen’s Building, 133 West Broadway in Maryville. Attendees are instructed to use the entrance at Grassy Knoll. To register, click here.

A capacity crowd of more than 100 people turned-out for the inaugural “Sky City Initiative” meetup on May 8. As noted in our teknovation.biz article about that event and an earlier post here, organizers are focused on growing the entrepreneurial community in Blount County. The periodic meetups are designed to better understand the needs of entrepreneurs and the opportunities that exist.
