Next Sky City Initiative meet-up set for November 15

Blount County’s Sky City Initiative will host its next speaker series event from 6 to 8 p.m. November 15 at Barley’s in Downtown Maryville. Titled “Brains and Grains,” the program will feature six successful Blount County entrepreneurs for what is being described as a “roundtables” Q & A.

“You will have the opportunity to sit down in a small group format with local entrepreneurs and pick their brains about how they started their businesses and made it successful,” according to the announcement. Those entrepreneurs are: John Clark, Vienna Coffee; Laura and Todd Hasson, Substance Solutions; Chris Hurley, Russell and Abbott; Kate Schriver Kilgore, Schriver’s; Cheryl Smith, CPR Choice; and Bob Hirche, ICMAS.

The event is free, but a beverage purchase is encouraged to support the host. To RSVP, click here.
