Organizers of next month’s “Crypto – Facts and Future” conference in Johnson City have announced that F. Reid Shippen will be the keynote speaker.

Born in Milwaukee and raised in New Jersey, the multiple Grammy Award-winning mixer, producer, and engineer now lives in Nashville. He is also an entrepreneur, consultant and business owner with interests including real estate, publishing, investment and manufacturing. Artists with whom Shippen has worked include Ingrid Michaelson, Kenny Chesney, Little Big Town, CeCe Winans, Steven Tyler, Colony House, One Republic and Dierks Bentley. He also teaches a class on music, business and entrepreneurship at Middle Tennessee State University with Nashville tech titan Mark Montgomery.

“Blockchain is, I believe, the most significant evolution of technology since the invention of the internet,” Shippen says. “I’m extremely excited to participate in this event and looking forward to bringing it to East Tennessee.”

“Crypto – Facts and Future” is a one-day event set for October 13 at the Holiday Inn in Johnson City. You can learn more by reading our recent article and also by visiting the conference website.
