ORNL, Nanomechanics finalists for 2016 “R&D 100 Awards”
R&D Magazine released the names of more than 200 technologies that are finalists for its annual “R&D 100 Awards” late last week. As is usually the case, Oak Ridge National Laboratory (ORNL) was cited in a number of the selections. This list, taken from the magazine’s website, shows ORNL as the lead on 10 of the selected technologies. There could be more where ORNL is part of the team, based on previous years.
In addition, at least one local company – Nanomechanics Inc. of Oak Ridge – was also designated as a finalist for its NanoBlitz 4D Mechanical Property Tomography.
The 100 winning technologies will be announced at the “R&D 100 Conference” November 2-4 in Washington, DC.
