Next “Opportunity Now” event for inventors set for October 27

Opportunity Now 2Tech 2020 has announced a day-long “Opportunity Now” workshop. Designed for individuals who have a great invention idea but are not sure what to do next, the event is set of October 27 at Tech 2020, 1020 Commerce Park Drive in Oak Ridge.

“The event is open to everyone and will cover the basics of moving ideas from the lab to the marketplace,” according to the Tech 2020 announcement. It does not matter if the invention has already been disclosed or if you are not sure if the idea is commercially viable.

Tech 2020’s Kevin Kragenbrink and Shawn Carson will lead the six-hour event that begins at 9 a.m. Registrationfor everyone but University of Tennessee (UT) faculty is $40 for individuals and $25 each for multiple attendees from a single department. To register, click here. UT faculty can attend for free, but they need to contact Linda Nyholm at lnyholm@tech2020.org to get a special code.
