There’s more good news for the mother and daughter team behind Mixtroz, the app that helps improve networking at all sorts of events.
The Middle Tennessee-based start-up, which participated in the CO.LAB “GIGTANK 365” accelerator in 2016, will be one of eight new ventures pitching to Steve Case when his “Rise of the Rest Road Trip” stops on May 9 in Birmingham. As noted in this recent teknovation.biz article, Co-Founders Kerry Schrader and Ashlee Ammons are participating in that city’s Velocity Accelerator operated by Innovation Depot.
“I’m seriously jazzed to have opportunity to pitch Mixtroz to Steve Case and the Revolution Team,” Ammons told us on Saturday. Schrader was equally enthused.
“Win, lose or draw, this is a huge opportunity for Mixtroz,” she said. “It’s exciting to see that we are FINALLY becoming #UNhidden figures! This year has already been unbelievable. It started off with Mixtroz being accepted into Birmingham’s Velocity Accelerator, which has been an awesome experience might I add.”
That selection was followed by their debut in late February on A&E Network’s new reality investment show, “Rooster & Butch.” Schrader says the stars of the show and their wives actually dropped in on our premiere party at Innovation Depot and watched it with the Co-Founders and nearly 200 other supporters.
“We have continued to acquire clients, and we expect our SaaS platform to be available early this summer,” she added “Yes, it’s shaping up to be quite a year!”
The “Rise of the Rest Road Trip” is headlined by Steve Case, Founder of AOL. The Southern tour starts May 8 in Memphis and moves to Chattanooga May 10 after the May 9 stop in Birmingham.
