LifeSciTN’s model for its “Statewide Mentor Network” celebrates 30th birthday

San Diego ConnectSan Diego’s CONNECT program, more specifically its Springboard start-up accelerator, is the basis for the Life Science Tennessee “Statewide Mentor Network.” Amazingly, CONNECT just celebrated its 30th birthday. I remember first hearing about the new initiative in the early 1990s at a meeting of the National Association of State Universities and Land-Grant Colleges. One of the key people involved in its launch was Mary Walshok, now the Dean of Extension at the University of California at San Diego. Click here to read about the birthday celebration.
