ICS takes “huge step” in its sales and distribution system
Yesterday found Dick Nixdorf, founder of Oak Ridge-based Industrial Ceramic Solutions, LLC (ICS), in a self-described “ecstatic” state of mind.
He had just returned from 10 days in Germany where he signed an exclusive, worldwide sales agreement with GKN Sintered Metal Filters to handle sales of his company’s high-temperature ceramic fiber filters in Asia, Europe and South America.
“This is a huge step,” Nixdorf said, noting that ICS has progressed rapidly in the last two years from product development to commercial development. The progress was accelerated through $1.5 million in TNInvestco funding supplied by the Limestone Fund and the XMi High Growth Development Fund.
