E2 Medical announces release of anesthesia application

E2 Medical (of Knoxville) has launched a new product, E2 Calc, via Apple’s iTunes Store. The E2 Calc application is a clinical calculator that offers the anesthesia provider commonly needed calculations at the point of care where seconds matter and mathematical error can have devastating effects. E2 Calc was released for worldwide sale on the iTunes App Store on December 21, 2011 for $4.99 per download. As of January 15, 2012 the app has been purchased in more than 8 countries and carries a 5 star user rating.

Designed by anesthesia providers for clinicians and students, E2 Calc offers a clinical decision support tool which provides calculations specific to anesthesia. These calculations include those specific to critical body functions such as allowable blood loss and an array of cardiovascular calculations.
