“Cleantech Open Southeast” now accepting applications for 2016

Cleantech Open SE“Are you a clean technology or social impact entrepreneur in the Southeast U.S.?”

That’s the question asked on the webpage of the “Cleantech Open Southeast” as the organization announces that it is accepting applications for its annual accelerator program. In 2013, Knoxville-based Fiveworx made it all the way to the grand finale in California where it competed for $250,000.

As the old saying goes, “you can’t participate if you don’t apply,” and now is the time to do so. Applications are being accepted through May 1. You can click here to access the online application.

Up to five winners will be selected from the “Cleantech Open Southeast” region, and they will each be eligible for as much as $15,000 in cash and up to $15,000 in services. The regional winners will compete nationally with one company receiving up to $100,000 in investment and $100,000 in services.

In addition to the competition for investments and cash, the competition also comes with other advantages such as the opportunity to present to investors, strategic partners and potential customers as well as participating in a 12-week series of intensive workshops and boot camps.
