CBI holding kick-off and registration for STEM Scouts this Thursday

Cumberland Business IncubatorThe Cumberland Business Incubator (CBI), operated by Roane State Community College, will host a combination kick-off and sign-up event for the first group of STEM Scouts in Cumberland County at 6 p.m. CDT this Thursday at 2569 Cook Road, Crossville.

STEM Scouts is an after school program for girls and boys throughout the school year that focuses on science, technology, engineering and mathematics to teach concepts through hands-on experiments. CBI will be registering third, fourth and fifth graders, but anyone can attend the kick-off.

The agenda for this Thursday includes a visit from the STEM Scouts Vortex Mobile Laboratory and a lab experiment for future STEM Scouts to complete as well as Bridge Building and Roller Coaster Design software and other STEM related activities.
