Mayer shares thoughts on, photos from “InnoSTARS” event
As reported earlier this week, Knoxville’s EDP BioTech Corporation captured third place in the recent “InnoSTARS Competition Semi-Final for Biomedicine & Medical Device Group” event held in Suzhou, China.
Eric Mayer, the company’s Chief Executive Officer, attended the event and is now back in the country. He shared his thoughts on the competition and a couple of pictures with us.
“EDP is honored to place third in the competition, selected among many other great companies and technologies – some of which are much further along in development and commercialization,” Mayer said. “Clearly the judges and potential investors in attendance recognize the unmet need in colorectal cancer testing and attractiveness of ColoPlex, which my team has developed right here in Knoxville. We look forward to building new relationships and exploring the opportunities which have now opened for EDP BioTech.”
