Stacey Patterson confirmed as UT Vice President
Stacey Patterson, Associate Vice President for Research at the University of Tennessee (UT) since 2015, has been elected by the UT Board of Trustees as the University’s next Vice President for Research, Outreach and Economic Development.
She is the first woman to hold the top research position for the UT System. Patterson joined the University in 2006 in a joint role as a Licensing Associate for the UT Research Foundation (UTRF) and a research scientist in the Center for Environmental Biotechnology (CEB). In 2009, she joined UT System administration as Director of Research Partnerships and was named Assistant Vice President and Director of Research Partnerships in 2012 before assuming the dual roles of UT Associate Vice president for Research and UTRF Vice President in 2015.
