Online registration ends May 15 for this year’s “TVC Summit”

More than 400 community, academic, and government leaders from the five-state region are expected to gather in Oak Ridge at the end of the month for the 23rd Annual “Tennessee Valley Corridor (TVC) Summit.”

The event, which rotates around the region, will be held May 29, 30 and 31 at the New Hope Center operated by Consolidated Nuclear Services (CNS), prime contract for the Y-12 National Security Complex.

The theme of this year’s Summit’s is “TVC: Connecting People, Ideas, Opportunities.” It is being hosted by Oak Ridge Mayor Warren Gooch in cooperation with Congressman Chuck Fleischmann. Online registration is available until May 15 at this link.

There are five main sessions focused on clean energy, cyber and national security, advanced manufacturing, and education. The Summit will also celebrate the 75th Anniversary of the City of Oak Ridge, the 85th Anniversary of TVA and 50th Anniversary of NASA’s Apollo 8 Mission.

At last report, confirmed speakers, panelists and presenters include: U.S. Senator Lamar Alexander; Congressmen Chuck Fleischmann, Phil Roe, and Marsha Blackburn; Maria Korsnick, President and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the Nuclear Energy Institute; Thomas Zacharia, Director of Oak Ridge National Laboratory; Morgan Smith, President and CEO of CNS; LTG Ronald L. Burgess, Jr., USA, Retired, Senior Counsel for National Security Programs, Cyber Programs and Military Affairs, Auburn University; Anil Karmel, Founder and CEO of C2 Labs; and Andy Page, President and CEO of Oak Ridge Associated Universities.
