AngelSummit US just one highlight of “Start-up Week Chattanooga”
The second annual “Start-up Week Chattanooga” is a week away. Last year’s inaugural event logged more than 50 different sessions; about 75 are planned for 2015 in three tracks – technology, social, and creative.
Chattanoogan Charlie Brock, Executive Officer of Launch Tennessee, takes a look at the significance of the week-long celebration in this column in Sunday’s Chattanooga Times Free Press.
One of those key activities next week is the two-day AngelSummit US.
“We strategically scheduled the event during Startup WeekCHA,” Kristina Montague, Managing Partner of The JumpFund, told us. Her organization partnered with the Enterprise Center and other organizations in the community to sell Startup Angels on holding the sessions in Chattanooga.
“The Angel Summit is particularly geared to give investors their own space to converge and explore topics such as the intersection of food and new technologies, growing innovation districts, and corporate innovation strategies.,” Montague said.
She was a panel participant at last year’s Summit in Dallas.
“I was impressed with the diverse angel network assembled as well as Startup Angels’ mission to bring one million more angel investors into the early stage investment landscape,” Montague explained. “I encourage anyone interested in early stage start-up investing to attend and take advantage of this kind of high caliber angel investor training and networking event taking place in our own backyard. ”
