Knoxville one of 70 locations for “CHINA Town Hall” next week
Knoxville is one of 70 cities across the country that will participate in the ninth annual “CHINA Town Hall: Local Connections, National Reflections” on Monday, October 5. The combination webinar and local conversation will begin at 7 p.m. in Room 123 of the Humanities and Social Science Building at the University of Tennessee.
The nationwide event, organized by the National Committee on U.S.-China Relations, is intended to help Americans better understand the complex U.S.-China relationship and the growing role of Chinese investments in this country.
Former U.S. Secretary of the Treasury Robert Rubin will lead the national panel discussion. After it ends, Ryan Ong, Director of the U.S.-China Business Council’s Business Advisory Services division, will speak to the local attendees.
