McMillan provides update on Shockwave Motors’ progress

We recently received an update from John McMillan of Shockwave Motors, Inc. detailing some exciting developments.

The company, one of the winners in this year’s Tennessee Veterans Business Association business plan competition, was previously profiled on teknovation.biz. The start-up is producing high performance, three-passenger roadsters powered by electricity with the inaugural product being its Defiant EV3 Roadster©.

“We’ve been very busy the past few months and are pleased to share some exciting updates,” McMillan said. One of the announcements concerns a partnership with LightStream, a division of SunTrust Bank that will provide consumer financing for the Defiant EV3 Roadster©.

“This means anyone (meeting their credit requirements) will be able to get a loan to purchase a roadster,” McMillan explained. “As we move closer to production, we’ll have links on the website so you can apply online.”

The company’s Founder and Chief Executive Officer also said he knew those purchasing the roadster would want a reliable provider of routine maintenance services such as tire rotation, brake repair, lubrication, and battery checks.

“We are finalizing discussions with a nationwide service provider that has hundreds of locations across the United States and Canada,” McMillan said. “We will be providing them with custom maintenance training so they will be knowledgeable in electric roadster servicing and repair procedures.”

He added that the company is also continuing to pursue funding.

Those interested in learning more about the soon-to-be-available Defiant EV3 Roadster© can view Shockwave Motors’ latest video here.
