TechTown: You have to see it to comprehend the impact
We had the opportunity to tour Chattanooga’s recently opened TechTown last week. What a wonderful experience to see the energy in the room and the excitement of the young men and women as they gained new skills that will help them throughout their lives.
It’s no wonder that TechTown is getting as much interest and press as it is. Here’s just one example – an article from the Louisville Business First newspaper.

This is the sign you see when you first enter the building.
The sign is on the logo store where merchandise is available.

3D printing is one of the technology areas.
“Kilobytes” is an area designed for the earliest ages that provides a guided learning experience in coding and design, digital art, storyboarding, basic videography and robotics.
Dozens of students are working on better understanding coding through a game they regularly play called Minecraft.
Video production and editing are key capabilities that are part of the TechTown portfolio.
Inspirational quotes, such as this one from Steve Jobs, fill many of TechTown’s walls.
